Zeus is usually bundled up with Columbus and Tomahawk into the CTZ group. Of the three, Zeus is actually genetically different but the qualities are so close so for practical purposes it can be thought of as one variety - the Coumbus-Tomahawk-Zeus.
Heavily grassy aroma with hints of grapefruit. Mostly used for bittering but it can have dual purpose.
Substitute: Centennial, Chinook, Galena, Nugget
Alpha acid: 13-16%
Beta acid: 4.5-5.5%
Co-humulone (% of alpha acids): 30-35%
Use: Dual purpose. American Ales, Pale Ales, Stouts.
